Buckhurst Plant Hire have invested up to £14 million over the last two years into new machinery to guarantee our customers can hire the best machinery for all their plant hire needs. Due to our investment the full Takeuchi range is now available from 0.5 Tonne – 15 Tonne excavators which can include attachments such as Hydraulic Breakers, Auger Drive Unit and Kerb Lifters. In the next six months we are going to invest in a range of larger tracked and wheeled excavators ranging from 13 Tonne – 20 Tonne for more heavy-duty construction work. These can also include attachments such as Riddle Buckets, water and fuel bowsers or Hydraulic Breakers.
As well as investing in our excavators we have also added 8-wheel tipper wagons to our fleet of machinery. These wagons allow for large amounts of material such as sand to be transported easily from one site to another and making unloading the material as efficiently as possible through the hydraulic lifting of the trailer and release back doors. Buckhurst Plant Hire have purchased grab wagons to add to the fleet so materials such as stones and gravel can be lifted into the trailer at the back, transported to a site and carefully lifted out onto the site. These wagons are perfect for removing soil from small sites or transporting MOT to larger sites.
For our customers in the electrical utility market we have heavily invested in our specialised equipment such as Tractor Winches and Utility Vehicles. Our winches are preferably used for slip-lining and mains scraping by many of our customers, available in 2 wheel-drive and 4 wheel-drive these front or rear hydraulically operated winches can pull pressures up-to 10 Tonnes and drum storage capacity up to 750 metres making them suitable for Gas, Water, Cable or Overhead work. As Gas, Water, Cable and Overheads are all necessary mains the winches come with our bespoke computerised data recording system to ensure every pull is accurately measured and recorded therefore the risk or errors are lowered.
Our Utility Vehicles have many uses, not just as Utility Vehicles, as we have seen throughout the years these vehicles have been used on sites to transport goods or site workers, events to transport people and farms to transport cattle feed. With an updated fleet of Polaris, JCB and Kawasaki Mules these versatile off-road vehicles can adapt to the task needs making them a small but useful addition to our fleet.
Having recently spent £2.5million on a brand-new fleet of JCB Dumpers including discharge dumpers and swivel dumpers we are proud to announce these are the industry’s safest dumpers according to JCB. Included in our new fleet of dumpers are 1 Tonne discharge dumpers, perfect for smaller sites due to being able to discharge materials into a standard skip. Furthermore, dump trucks from 3.0 Tonne and above are available to be fully road legal making the transportation of the materials in the skip easier. As well as discharge skips, we also have swivel skips available enabling the operator to discharge at 90◦ from straight on both sides.
